No, we charge $0.05 per minute for long distance. You can purchase nationwide calling for $10.00 per month.
Below is a list of features included with your phone service as well as other features that have per use or monthly charges.
There are some calls you just don't want to receive. Anonymous Call Rejection allows you to reject incoming calls that will not display caller ID and are marked private or anonymous.
Talk to two people in separate locations at the same time. Adding a third is as easy as touching a button.
Never miss another call! When you are going to be out, Call Forwarding automatically forwards all your calls to a selected local, long distance or mobile number that you program.
Don't miss another important call. Don't take another unwanted one. Caller ID allows you to identify the caller before you pick up the phone.
When you don't want people to know you are calling them, Caller ID Blocking will block your number in their caller ID. Caller ID Blocking prevents your telephone number from being displayed when you call other people. The words "Private" or "Anonymous" appear on the display unit or telephone set display screen when Caller ID Blocking is in effect.
Never miss important calls again while on the phone. A special tone alerts you to an incoming call and Caller ID identifies the caller. A push of a button lets you answer the call while your other caller stays connected.
If you're making an important call and don't want to be interrupted:
With Last Call Return from dishNET Wireline, press *69 to get the number of your last incoming call. You already have access to this feature.
If you are using a rotary dial telephone instead of a touch-tone, dial 11 in place of the * key. For example *69 is 1169 on rotary phones.
Last Call Return dials back the last person who called you by pressing *69.
dishNET Wireline offers you unlimited possibilities with your phone service. We offer unlimited local calling, unlimited feature usage and 3000 minutes of long distance every month for $10 per month, or 5¢ per minute with no monthly fee. With our Long Distance package you can call anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States, any time of the day and any day of the week with no blackouts.
If you subscribed to our Long Distance Package, your service will be ready to use as soon as you switch your service to us. Simply dial 1, plus the phone number and area code to make long distance calls.
If you need to make International Calls or calls to most countries, dial 011 + country code* + phone number. Long Distance Rates apply to lower 48 states. International Rates are additional. See International Rates for more information.top
Know when you have a voice message waiting without having to dial into your voicemail box. Message Waiting Indication signals a message is in a voicemail box and is waiting to be retrieved.
Message Waiting Indication can be identified in three different ways:
If you ordered voicemail from dishNET Wireline, Message Waiting Indication is already loaded on your phone line. If you have a telephone equipped with a message waiting indicator, it will light up when you have a message waiting. You will also hear a 'stutter-tone' on your phone line when you pick up the receiver, if you have a message waiting.top
This feature is usually used in conjunction with voicemail. It forwards your calls when the line is busy or you don't answer. You cannot have voicemail without also having this feature, so if you are using dishNET Wireline's voicemail service, this feature is automatically available to you at no additional monthly charge.
However, some customers who prefer not use voicemail, can use this feature to forward calls to any other local number (for example, a cell phone) in the event the line is busy or not answered.
This feature must be programmed by dishNET Wireline.
If you want to keep your number private, you can request the Non-Published service be added to your telephone number for $2.25 per month.
Make sure your most important calls get to you. Selective Call Forwarding allows you to set up a list of important phone numbers that will forward to an outside phone number when they call you.
Your voicemail has a system greeting and a temporary security code when your service is activated. Follow the instructions below to access, configure, and manage your voicemail.
Your voicemail is automatically configured with a system greeting that plays your home phone number and requests the caller leave a message.

You can set up your voicemail system to send messages directly to your email. These messages are attached to emails in a .wav file format. We have created troubleshooting guides in PDF format which will resolve most problems you may encounter when attempting to play a .wav file on your computer. Follow the guide appropriate for your operating system and if you still have not succeeded in getting your voice message to play, you will need more in-depth tech support.
First, determine what operating system you are using and download the appropriate guide (in PDF format). If you don't know what operating system you are using:
